This was a pain to get up there.

Why not use a jack and Jack stands?
![]() 07/06/2017 at 14:18 |

Because there are no points for stands, nor is there room to put a stand underneath while the car is jacked up.

You can use boxed sections of frame for jack stands.

What he said. That’s what I did when I installed my RMM.

Eh, there is enough room now, but I’ll remember that.

What is an RMM?

Because why would you, unless you are working on the wheels and suspension?

I also use them to jack the car up when using a floor jack on a car with pinch welds and no jack pads. Just put a hockey puck on the jack first.

Rear Motor Mount, it’s actually what I’m doing.

Why didn’t you turn?.. jk
dunno, doesn’t look that bad to me. You can make baby steps ramps if your worried about you lip.
Ramps>Stands everyday, unless you are taking off wheels.

The throttle is kind of an on/off switch, so it would either roll back or shoot the ramps out.

I’ve only driven off the end once and it was with a 4x4 so no worries.. but I usually Powers it up there in the subie;

I just cut a puck in half and put that on the jack stand. It protects the pinch that way. I probably should grab some ramps though, at least for oil changes and stuff.

seems like itd be easier than then trying to get a manual car up onto little ramps.i use jackstands when i change my oil vs ramps

The race ramps have a really nice long slope to them, and they’re two piece so you can pull out the ramp once it’s in the air. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it.

I have been told that placing a strip of old carpet under each ramp will keep them from sliding out back from under the wheel.
I have the same ramps and they have never moved on me , but I was told they did for a friend’s small car (Yaris) that I lent them to. Maybe my Mazda’s CX9 weight keeps them in place.

If you look closely you’ll see to door mats. After a while, we eventually figured it out lol.

I have those ramps and really like them - use them for every oil change. But they have rubber grippy things on the bottom so they don’t slide. And I’ll bet the nose of that FiST is lower too...
